Col. G.S. Bisht after graduating from Indian Military Academy was commissioned in Indian Armed Forces in 1964. He retired from Indian Armed Forces after serving in various coveted positions during his career spanning over three decades. It was his career thrust for knowledge and keen desire for furthering his professional skill, which made him complete his Master in Personal Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, University of Poona.
A perfect combination of theoretical knowledge and practice skill makes Col. Bisht an effective administrator, disciplinarian and human resource catalyst.
Col. Bisht is an avid environmentalist.  His keenness for conserving nature has turned the COER Campus into a green expanse of beautifully landscape gardens, which infuse the fellow COERians with life and vivacity.
