The Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation is a jewel in the crown of the Institution. We are one among the few Institutions growing in the state in the field of Electronics and Instrumentation.
The competitive scenario that is emerging emphasizes the Darwinian concept of Survival of the fittest and this means a continuous upgrading of knowledge, skill and apt and innovative application by every individual. Steered by well experienced and dedicated staff, the Department prunes the young minds in the right direction, so that the students emerge as cognizant candidates whose potential and skill ameliorate the present industrial scenario.
Vision and Mission
The objective of the department of Applied Electronics & Engineering is to provide value education and motivate young professionals in building cognitive characteristics and to evoke creative expression and cultivate the minds of budding engineers with recent trends in technology.
We at College of Engineering Roorkee instruct the students in developing social awareness and guide them to be a role model in the society and to Produce employable graduates by imparting industrial and managerial skills.

I take the privilege to welcome you all to the Department of Applied Electronics & Instumentation at College of Engineering Roorkee. Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Department aims at providing a balanced exposure to both Electronics and Instrumentation. The special feature of Electronics teaching is the emphasis on VLSI Designed and the use of CAD tools in its development.
The Department has obtained extensive libraries. On the Instumentation side, the Department highlights modern technologies like egc machines, eeg meachines etc. Students of the Department are given high exposure to computer technology as well.
As H.O.D. I wish to take the opportunity to assure you that I will try my best to maximize students participation in the department and will keep the admin transparent.
