How do I get admitted in COER ?

Admission shall be made strictly on merit basis and in accordance with the rules and regulations made by the AICTE and as per the orders of the Govt. of Uttarakhand through combined entrance test AIEEE-2009 for B.Tech, UKSEE-2009 for MCA & B.Tech (II) Year (Lateral Entry) ,and for MBA latest MAT score card whereas NRI seats will be filled by COER mangement directly.The candidates need to purchase the college form and send it alongwith required documents.

How many branches do we offer in our B.Tech course ?

At present we are offering 7 branches in B.Tech course: • Electrical and Electronics • Electronics and Telecommunication • Computer Science • Information Technology • Mechanical Engineering • Civil Engineering • Applied Electroncis & Instrumentation ** (** Subject to AICTE approval from session 2009-2010)

How do i apply ?

The candidates who have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and those who have apppeared for the AIEEE examination on All India Merit basis need to purchase the college form from the campus or website and submit it along with required documents for admissions to B.Tech. What are the activities at COER that add value ?

Life inside the campus never lacks fun, play or other joys. Yet, "academic" is the word that best describes the culture of the college. Most of your time will be spent in learning, understanding and going after further knowledge.Moreover there are committees for the students that engage them in activities like music,dance,photography,painting,sports etc

What is the placement scene at COER ?

Placements of Coerians have touched significant heights this year. The recruiting companies include IBM, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Union Switches, HLL, Verizon, Xansa, Nucleus Software and Bajaj Auto among the globally known MNC's alongwith several other companies in the country. The college has also taken steps to get students placed who are still in 3rd year of the programme.

What is the fee structure at COER ?

The fee structure is divided in tution fee and boarding –lodging charges.It can be paid in cash or by a demand draft in favour of COER.It also includes some refundable amount in it.

Is the hostel fee refundable ?

Yes, the fee is refundable only in the case of non availability of rooms in the hostel and is adjusted accordingly.

How many courses do you offer at COER ?

At present ,we offer 3 courses at COER: • B.Tech • MCA • M.B.A

Is there any residential facility at COER for the students ?

Yes, we provide separate hostels for boys and girls with single and double room accommodations. All the rooms are airy and comfortably furnished.

Is there any dress code to be followed in COER ?

COERians are required to follow the specified DRESS CODE strictly.The uniform is given to them within the first week of their admission in COER.

How many streams do you offer in your MBA course ?

At present we offer 5 streams : Finance, Human Resource Mangement, Information Management, Marketing and International Business.

Do you provide any industrial visits to your MBA students ?

Yes, we do provide industrial visits to our students. Recently our students visited the Hero Honda and many other industries situated in the SIDCUL industrial area in Haridwar.

Is it compulsary to reside in hostels for the MBA students ?

No, it is not compulsary at all. Although, we do offer residential facility but only to the students who require it.

Do you give the degree or the diploma for MBA ?

We give the degree for the MBA course which is recognised by the Uttarakhand Technical University.

What is the intake for MCA & MBA courses ?

The total number of seats available in MCA & MBA are 60 each.

What are the prospects of industrial training for the MCA students ?

Coerians undergo industrial training during summer vacations and after training period , the students are required to submit a report which is evaluated by a team of experts and is accordingly graded . A large no. of Coerians have undergone training in companies like : BHEL , BARC , HCL Technologies , IIRS-Dehradun , L&T , ONGC Dehradun and Tata Technologies.
